WHAT TO DO IN LONDON WHILE TRAVELING?
London is a city that offers many tours and attractions, most of them reserved for the daytime period. Organizing the itinerary by region is a good option, as it is possible to save time and make the most of every second in the English capital.
It is also essential to have a map of the city at hand, distributed free of charge in most hotels, or available at the London Information Center (see more information in the Tips section). If you have a smartphone and buy a sim card in the city, you will use technology to your advantage, downloading maps and itineraries.
For example, on the first day, the visitor can focus on central London, where Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and the British Parliament are within walking distance. Also nearby are the beautiful St. James Park and the famous Trafalgar square. For Visa, Click here.
Just pay attention to the closing times of some of these attractions, so you don’t miss the visit. Guided tours are also available, and a good option is a free tour offered by Sandemans New Europe, whose guides work with the tipping system at the end of the term.
Markets:
Some city areas are worth mentioning, such as the bustling district of Convent Garden, full of shops, restaurants, pubs, and markets. The Tandem Town neighborhood also offers a unique atmosphere. You will certainly not regret spending a morning or afternoon in this place that brings together people of all tribes — where attractive markets are located, and they sell a little bit of everything — as well as many stalls with food from various parts of the world, including India.
The charm of Notting Hill makes the place a must-see, and Saturday is a good day for a stroll through the streets and the local fair. When passing by a stall, be sure to try them.
Queen’s Walk
Another unmissable region, perfect for a good walk, is the South Bank, on the banks of the River Thames. There you will find the South Bank Center, an art-oriented complex, and, in the area, the Queen’s Walk, one of the most incredible routes for those who want to explore the city on foot.
To get the most out of the tour, start at the beautiful Westminster Bridge and head to the surroundings of the Millennium Bridge.
Leaving the bridge, which is next to the Parliament, you will pass the London Eye Ferris wheel, followed by a series of other points, such as the South Bank Centre. Along the way, you will also find several restaurants and bars that are worth stopping for a meal or a drink with a beautiful view as a backdrop—remembering that the area attracts a lot of pedestrians, especially in the late afternoon.

The Red Lemon:
In the charming neighborhood of Notting Hill, a few steps from the Portobello Market in the pub with a delicious beer menu — Portobello APA, a Pale, Portobello Star. In addition, the menu is full of delicious and, shall we say, more exquisite dishes, such as sirloin steak served with fries and béarnaise sauce.
